Trauma-informed training – free

MPHN has partnered with the Blue Knot Foundation (Australia’s National Centre of Excellence for complex trauma) to deliver the Foundation for Building Trauma Awareness training. These free face-to-face sessions will be held across four locations in the Murrumbidgee region:

  • Griffith: Tuesday 17 February 2026, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Register here

  • Deniliquin: Tuesday 24 March 2026, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm Register here

This training will help you develop a trauma-informed lens, enabling you to view challenging behaviours not as problems, but as adaptive responses to trauma. This perspective can have significant implications for allied health practitioners supporting clients along their health journey.

Trauma-informed practice is not about treating trauma or its symptoms. Instead, it recognises that trauma experiences are a possibility for anyone (Kezelman & Stavropoulos, 2012).

Places are limited – register early.
