This session will cover:

  • Understanding eating disorders

  • Local support options across MLHD

  • Practical strategies for carers and families

  • Lived‑experience insights from carers

  • Supports available through Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA)

  • Guidance from clinicians, a GP, and leading eating‑disorder organisations including InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders, Butterfly Foundation and EDFA

Who should attend:

  • Carers, parents and family members supporting someone of any age

  • Teachers, school staff and WHIN nurses

  • GPs and local health professionals

  • Community members wanting to better support families
