NDIS pricing changes: July 2026 update

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has released its 2026–27 pricing updates, with several changes affecting allied health providers from 1 July 2026.

Key changes include:

  • Psychologist fees increased from $232.99 to $252.99 per hour.

  • Dietitian fees decreased from $188.99 to $178.99 per hour.

  • Exercise physiologist fees decreased from $166.99 to $161.99 per hour.

  • Rates for Other Professionals reduced to $156.16 per hour, except for Early Childhood supports.

  • New item numbers have been introduced for all allied health services.

  • No price changes were made for occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, podiatrists or audiologists.

New claiming arrangements

The NDIA has also introduced a new claiming structure. Rather than using general claim types, providers must now use service-specific item numbers for cancellations, non-face-to-face supports, provider travel, NDIA-requested reports and telehealth services.
