IAR mental health training – January and February 2026

The Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) provides a national, standardised approach to assessing and referring people presenting with mental health concerns in primary care settings. Developed by the Australian Government, the tool supports GPs and other clinicians to recommend the most appropriate level of care for people seeking mental health support.

National IAR training workshops will be held in January and February 2026. These sessions are RACGP and ACRRM approved, and participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
