NSW ADHD reforms: expression of interest for endorsed prescribers

NSW Ministry of Health has opened the expression of interest portal for the second phase of the NSW ADHD reforms.

Endorsed prescribers will be authorised to initiate psychostimulant medicines for people aged 6 years and older with a new diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

To apply, please complete the expression of interest form:

Further details about training and the pathway are available here: FAQs for health professionals

Training will include online educational components, delivered either through pre-scheduled, live-facilitated sessions or via a self-paced online course. Attendance at online community of practice (CoP) groups via videoconference will also be required.

Training costs will be covered by NSW Health, and a remuneration package will be available for those who complete the training requirements.

Approximately 120 positions are available, with priority given to GPs practising in rural and remote areas or regions with high service needs.

Thank you for your commitment to improving ADHD care in NSW.
