New pancreatic cancer resources to support general practice
Pancreatic cancer remains one of Australia’s deadliest cancers, with a five‑year survival rate of just 14% and little improvement over decades.
Through two projects delivered under the National Pancreatic Cancer Roadmap—developed for Cancer Australia in collaboration with the University of Queensland, the University of Melbourne, and key stakeholders—new resources have been created to support healthcare professionals in diagnosis, surveillance of high‑risk individuals, interventional pain management, and pathways to palliative care.
These include two free, accredited professional development modules, available alongside detailed clinical guidance. The Pancare Foundation is proud to have supported the promotion of this important work.
