Calvary Health Care Riverina is seeking applications from local general practitioners to join its dedicated Drug and Alcohol Service multidisciplinary team.

This part-time Medical Officer role (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) offers a unique opportunity to support clients through withdrawal management while addressing their broader primary health care needs. It is a rewarding position for a clinician with a holistic approach who is willing to learn new skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • undertaking withdrawal risk assessments and treatment planning in line with NSW Health Withdrawal Clinical Guidelines

  • addressing co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to patient care

  • participating in case reviews, clinical governance activities and service development initiatives

  • liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including primary care providers, mental health services and community agencies
