Hospital discharge summaries

Faxing hospital discharge summaries to general practices in the Murrumbidgee region is almost a thing of the past.

The Digital Health team at MPHN have been working closely with the MLHD and general practices to support the changeover to receiving discharge summaries electronically.

Until recently, over 70 per cent of practices in the region had one or more GPs receiving summaries via fax, however that has now been reduced to around 15 per cent.
