Hot Topics receives rave reviews
Thirty of the Murrumbidgee region’s general practitioners, practice nurses, GP registrars and medical students attended the renowned Hot Topics, UK’s most popular GP update course which has been specifically adapted for Australia, in Wagga Wagga on Saturday 12 October.
It was the first time the course has been in regional New South Wales, and MPHN Board Chair, Dr Jodi Culbert said the opportunity allowed the region’s GPs, practice nurses and GP registrars access to this program at a lower cost in both money and time.
“By all accounts participants valued the opportunity and the Board will be looking at an opportunity to bring the session back to Wagga in 2020,” Dr Culbert said.
“I was thrilled to hear feedback from my colleagues like ‘I didn’t fall asleep’ and ‘I didn’t have time to read emails’ and these comments are a testament to how engaging and relevant the Hot Topics content is.
“I would like to thank all those who took time out of their personal lives away from their families and friends in what is already a hectic and demanding work environment to attended Hot Topics,” she said.
As part of the day’s activities, participants were able to meet with our commissioned service providers, our Primary Care Engagement team, and to learn more about HealthPathways.
