Nominations for regional health awards opening soon
Nominations for Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network’s (MPHN) annual Primary Healthcare Awards will open the week commencing 16 August 2021, with award categories including Outstanding Contribution to Leadership in Primary Healthcare, Innovation, Promoting Healthy Living, and Murrumbidgee Grant of the Year.
MPHN Board Chair Dr Jodi Culbert has called for health professionals, organisations and members of the communities to come forward with nominations.
“Each year we see some remarkable and meaningful work done to improve health outcomes for people across the Murrumbidgee region, quite often under very difficult and challenging circumstances,” Dr Culbert said.
“The Primary Healthcare Awards are a wonderful way to acknowledge these extraordinary people and organisations and the work being done.”
MPHN Acting CEO Julie Redway said the awards presented a vital opportunity for the wider community to show their support and gratitude for those in the health industry.
“Throughout the last 12 months our primary healthcare providers have continued to strive to deliver the best outcomes for their communities,” Ms Redway said.
“Our focus is to ensure we continue to recognise the contributions of the people who keep us safe and healthy, even in the face of global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Award winners will be announced 20 November 2021 at the 2021 Primary Healthcare Awards and dinner at the Range Function Centre in Wagga Wagga.
