National Audits Group and UNSW support regional healthcare excellence
National Audits Group has joined the 2025 Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Awards as a Gold Sponsor, backing the region’s flagship celebration of innovation and impact in primary care.
With extensive experience working with local councils, public health units, and community health organisations to help navigate complex regulatory environments and strengthen internal controls, National Audits Group Director Mr Stephen Prowse said the organisation is proud to support the event.
“Our sponsorship reflects our long-standing commitment to supporting the healthcare sector through robust internal audit, compliance, and risk management services,” Mr Prowse said.
“We’re honoured to support the dedicated professionals who drive positive change in our communities. At National Audits Group, we’re committed to helping healthcare and government organisations build resilience, ensure compliance, and deliver better outcomes through strong governance and assurance.”
National Audits Group has an office in Wagga Wagga and supports large-scale healthcare clients with multi-site internal audit programs, offering scalable solutions that balance onsite and remote delivery.
Joining as a Silver Sponsor, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) is also backing the awards in a milestone year for its Faculty of Medicine and Health, which is celebrating 25 years of rural medical education and the establishment of Australia’s first official Rural Clinical School in Wagga Wagga.
UNSW Rural Clinical Campuses now span five major teaching sites across New South Wales, with full six-year undergraduate medicine programs offered in Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga. The university has led the way in prioritising rural students and enabling them to study medicine close to home and family.
UNSW Associate Dean and Head of School of Clinical Medicine Professor Tara Mackenzie said the university’s sponsorship reflects its deep commitment to rural communities and healthcare innovation.
“For 25 years, UNSW Rural has partnered with local communities to train the next generation of rural doctors,” Professor Mackenzie said.
“We’re proud to support the Murrumbidgee Primary Healthcare Awards, which recognise the people and programs improving health outcomes across the region. These awards align with our vision to strengthen rural health and build a medical workforce that reflects the diversity and resilience of our communities.”
