Vibe Check Youth Mental Health Intervention Project – Federation Council
Federation Council will deliver the Vibe Check Youth Mental Health Intervention Project across the local government area, strengthening mental health awareness and response capability within sports clubs and youth organisations.
The project combines evidence-based Youth Mental Health First Aid training with accessible, tailored resources designed specifically for club and community settings. By focusing on volunteers and grassroots organisations, the initiative aims to build confidence and practical skills where young people already gather and feel connected.
Training will support participants to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges, understand how to offer appropriate support, and know when and how to connect young people with professional help. Resources provided to clubs and organisations will help embed this knowledge into everyday practice, supporting ongoing wellbeing conversations and early intervention.
Training sessions will be delivered across the Federation Council area in Corowa, Howlong, Mulwala and Urana, with each session available to a minimum of ten participants.
The Vibe Check project aims to strengthen community capacity, reduce stigma and ensure young people across the region are better supported within the clubs and organisations they trust.
