Tom’s LHAC chat

I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing break over the Christmas period if you were lucky enough to get one. I would like to provide a quick update on some of the upcoming activities we have planned as we get into the swing of 2025.

The first MPHN LHAC chair sector meeting for 2025 is scheduled on Tuesday 25 February from 8.30-10am. The topic for this meeting is Healthy Ageing and Palliative Care. MPHN’s Healthy Ageing and Palliative Care team will be on hand for guidance and information.

Representatives from MPHN will be joining our MLHD counterparts at the upcoming LHAC planning sessions during March and April. We will discuss the updated Health Needs Assessment for your LGA and support you to plan goals for 2025/26. Videos from MPHN CEO Stewart Gordon and MLHD CE Jill Ludford will be sent in advance of these meetings along with a video highlighting new data from the Murrumbidgee. The updated data profiles for each LGA will also be available before each planning session. It would be great if you’re able to watch the videos and read the documents before the planning session to allow time to consider your local community priorities.

We are always on the lookout for events to attend throughout the region so if your LHAC or community has any events planned for 2025 please email tom.parker@mphn.org.au so we can look at attending and/or sharing the event.

Thanks for the chat,

Tom.
