Tom’s LHAC chat

I hope everyone had a nice Easter break doing whatever brings you happiness, along with spending time reflecting on ANZAC day.

The 2025 LHAC planning sessions have now concluded. I would like to thank all LHAC members for their attendance and eagerness to get involved with shaping future projects their LHAC will be working towards.

The Griffith LHAC forum will be a great opportunity to connect with other LHACs about projects they are undertaking or have already completed. I look forward to seeing everyone there and learning about an interesting topic.

MPHNs conversations on the couch tour kicks off at the end of May for 2025. We will be holding events in 16 communities throughout the region. I have started reaching out to LHACs whose towns we are visiting, and I look forward to their support to help make each event a success. More information on conversations on the couch can be found here: mphn.org.au/convos-on-the-couch

The next MPHN LHAC Sector meeting will be held later this month on Tuesday 27 May at 8.30am. The theme for this meeting is Priority populations and equity of access, we are particularly keen to hear your communities’ thoughts on equity of access for the following population groups: First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, veterans, young people, people living with a disability, LGBTQIA+, older persons, children and young people, rural and remote communities.

Thanks for the chat,

Tom
