Tom’s LHAC chat
Holbrook LHAC Chair Heather Wilton with MPHN CEO Stewart Gordon at the Holbrook Convos on the Couch.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who supported Convos and Yarns on the Couch this year. We visited 18 towns in total and we really appreciate people giving up their time to support our events.
In August we also held the LHAC Chair sector meeting with theme of older Australians living with multiple chronic health conditions. This meeting was well attended with lots of in depth conversations and feedback. This meeting was the first to see the introduction of focusing on a theme for all of MPHNs governance committee’s including our four Clinical Councils and Community Advisory Committee. This shift has worked well, especially combined with the considerable community feedback we received via our pilot “Share to Care” surveys. Thank you to everyone who attended and provided feedback.
September is shaping up to be a very busy month kicking off with the Community Advisory Committee and then the Wagga Wagga LHAC Forum on September 11 and 12. I am really looking forward to seeing everyone there and I know it will be a great event. An immense thank you to the Wagga Wagga LHAC for their effort and enthusiasm to help pull the event together.
Rounding out September I will be at each day of the Henty Machinery Field days. You can find our stall in the country lifestyle pavilion if you are out and about make sure you drop in and say g’day.
Thanks for the chat,
Tom.
