MPHN representative role within LHACs

A reminder that MPHN staff representatives attend LHAC meetings in the same way an MLHD facility manager does. Their role is to update LHACs on primary health matters that may be of interest to the committee and community, and to act as the first point of contact between LHACs and MPHN on primary health care issues.

MPHN LHAC representatives are not invited guests — they are part of the committee, just as an MLHD facility manager is. While they do not have voting rights, they are there to provide advice and guidance when needed. If an MPHN representative doesn’t have an immediate answer, they will take the question on notice and follow up once more information is available.

If you have any further questions about the MPHN LHAC representative role, please email tom.parker@mphn.org.au
