Tom’s June LHAC chat
Convos on the Couch at the Echuca Moama Men’s Shed.
Hi LHACs,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the recent MPHN LHAC Chair sector meeting. I hope you gained something from Anita’s presentation and the open discussion that followed. I also want to thank everyone for giving the adjusted meeting format a go.
As you now know, the May LHAC forum was cancelled, largely due to low registrations. I look forward to continuing to work with Marisha to make the September forum a success.
Throughout May, I enjoyed getting out into the community, with Convos held in Mulwala and Moama, where we met with community members, local service providers, and the Men’s Shed. Max and Will attended a successful Yarns in Deniliquin, thanks to the Deni LHAC for supporting the event. I also attended the Gundagai Community Expo, which is always a great event, and it was good to have a chat with the Gundagai LHAC, who were also in attendance.
If you are aware of any community expos or events coming up in your town, I would love for you to send them through: tom.parker@mphn.org.au
A shout out to Matthew Clancy from Culcairn LHAC for reaching out about the BreastScreen bus coming to Culcairn. I will now include a list of upcoming locations in these monthly updates and the MPHN representatives report.
Thanks for the chat.
Tom
