Tom’s August LHAC chat
Hi LHACs,
If you haven’t noticed more than half of 2026 has already passed us by. I’m looking forward to the warmer weather on the horizon, even if it does take a little while to get to us.
August brings about the next round of our Convos on the Couch starting with events in Young and Lockhart. Thanks to Roz and the LHAC in Young for supporting us with this event. The remaining Convos for 2026 will be scheduled for September and October. https://mphn.org.au/convos-on-the-couch
I am excited to be able to share the MPHN and MLHD explainer infographic with you all as this is something that has been in the works for some time and I hope it will be helpful for new and experienced members alike.

Another exciting update is that registrations are now open for the next LHAC forum in Young on 16 and 17 September. You can find the registration form later in the update. I am really looking forward to seeing as many LHAC members there as possible both new and experienced. The forum provides a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people from across the region. The theme for this forum is Connecting Communities, and we have a great agenda planned.
Please remember we have introduced a new email address for LHACs to reach out to MPHN through. The new email has a shared inbox meaning more people have access to it for when I am on leave or out of reach. When you would have normally emailed me, you will now email lhac@mphn.org.au
The new inbox will make it easier for us to collect and store LHAC minutes, LHAC events and meeting invites. This email does not replace your MPHN LHAC representative who you are still able to reach out to and should be included in your usual email list.
Thanks for the chat,
Tom.
