Tom’s September LHAC chat
Hi LHACs,
Thanks to everyone who attended MPHN's LHAC Chair Sector Meeting. It was great to welcome some new and returning faces. Thank you to Lesley from Gundagai for stepping into the Riverina Sector Representative role. We also had a very informative discussion about alcohol and other drugs.
August also saw the return of Convos on the Couch after a winter hiatus, with a trip to Young. The Young event was very well attended, with more than 15 people joining us at the café and 20 talkative blokes at the Young Men's Shed. Thank you to Roz and the Young LHAC for supporting the event. On 1 September, I'll be in Lockhart for the next Convos, with the remaining sessions for 2026 to be held in October and November.
As you all know, the next LHAC Forum is just around the corner (16-17 September), and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. It's shaping up to be a great couple of days focused on connecting communities. We have some fantastic speakers and workshops lined up, and I'm looking forward to them all.
The rest of September will be very busy, with a big week planned at the Henty Machinery Field Days before I head off on annual leave. I'll return on 12 October.
Thanks for the chat,
Tom.
