Mental health support in response to the Bondi attack
The Australian Government has invested in mental health supports to meet the needs of those impacted by the Bondi Beach attack. This includes statewide targeted mental health supports for the Jewish community.

Jewish Care and Jewish House
Jewish Care and Jewish House are offering a range of practical, emotional, clinical and financial supports to people affected by the Bondi Beach attack.

Casework, including practical assistance and service navigation
Psychological support and referral pathways to psychological support
Financial assistance and reimbursement through the Home Affairs Bondi Grant
Pastoral support
Jewish Care has been funded to offer free face-to-face psychological support in Sydney and free telehealth support across NSW as well as in-person therapeutic group programs until 30 June 2027.

Jewish House has been funded to provide mental health and wellbeing support through crisis line access, clinical assessment and psychological care and counselling as well as community recovery group activities to foster connection and resilience until 30 June 2027.

Chabad of Rural and Regional Australia (Chabad of RARA)
Chabad of RARA will deliver a mobile wellbeing outreach program for Jewish individuals and families living in rural and regional NSW. Through visits to regional communities, Rabbis will provide faith-based support, opportunities for connection, community gatherings, referral and service navigation support, and ongoing follow-up where needed. The program aims to reduce social isolation, strengthen social connection, support emotional recovery, encourage help-seeking, and build resilience among Jewish communities with limited access to existing local supports.
Regions Covered: South Eastern NSW, Murrumbidgee, Western NSW, Nepean Blue Mountains, New England, mid-North Coast and Manning Valley
