With a 20-year background leading allied health and social services delivery, Peta has been Chief Executive Officer at Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation since 2022. She has a clinical background in dietetics and extensive experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in rural and remote communities. Peta is passionate about self-determination and supporting culturally safe approaches to the prevention and management of chronic disease, with particular interests in food security, child health and breastfeeding. She has held senior executive management positions across the OOHC, disability and primary health sectors, and is committed to improving access to culturally appropriate primary health services in rural and remote communities to support positive health outcomes and enhance the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Peta also has a strong interest in governance, serving on health organisation boards, and is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course
