Stewart Gordon
Chief Executive Officer

Appointed as CEO in July 2024, Stewart is committed to working collaboratively with all communities and stakeholders across the Murrumbidgee to improve health outcomes. With a career of more than two decades working in senior executive roles in acute and primary health care, and having lived most of his life in regional communities, Stewart has a deep appreciation and understanding of the challenges of living rurally and how this relates to health.

 

Narelle Mills  
Executive Integration and Partnerships

Narelle has almost 30 years’ experience in primary health program development and implementation with interests in health system integration, aged and palliative care, chronic disease management and quality improvement. Most of Narelle’s career has been in various program management roles for previous iterations of MPHN and she holds an Honours Degree in Applied Science, Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management and is currently finishing an MBA.

Julie Redway  
Executive Commissioning and Operations

Julie is responsible for leading the execution of MPHN strategies with a focus on results and outcomes for health service providers and consumers. Having started her career in medical science, Julie transitioned into the primary care environment in 1993. Julie holds a Bachelor’s in medical science, Masters in health service management and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

 

Melissa Collins
Executive Policy, Strategy and Innovation

Melissa has over 20 years of experience in government and the not-for-profit sector, working across disability, out-of-home care, and most recently in primary care business development and grants management. She is committed to securing funding for the organisations and communities she serves, with extensive experience driving business growth. Melissa also has a keen interest in innovative approaches to solving wicked problems. She holds a Bachelor's in Applied Communications and is a professional member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.

 

Anita McRae
Senior Manager Priority Populations

Anita’s primary health care career started in mental health grass roots support work and community development, moving into leadership roles for the past 9 years. Anita is passionate about people being able to access high quality, person centred, trauma informed care in the community. Anita has the privilege of representing Murrumbidgee PHN and the broader PHN network on a number of committees and advisory groups.

 

Alison Jansen
Senior Manager Primary Care Engagement

Ali has dedicated nearly three decades to the primary healthcare sector, bringing a wealth of experience to MPHN since joining in 2015. She is deeply committed to supporting primary care, with a special emphasis on building workforce capacity. Ali takes pride in the valuable contributions MPHN’s primary care engagement team makes to both the organisation and the communities they serve across the Murrumbidgee region.

Janelle Dufty
Senior Manager Commissioning

Janelle has worked for MPHN for eight years. Interested in how minds work, Janelle completed postgraduate studies in psychology in 2013. While mental health and suicide prevention are areas of interest, Janelle also has an affinity for data and how it relates to decision making.

 

Kristy Hawkins
Senior Manager Corporate Services

Kristy is an experienced human resources generalist with 15 years’ experience working in primary healthcare and holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management/ Accounting). She is passionately interested in people and developing a strong workplace culture with a focus on staff wellbeing. 

Toni Preuss
Senior Manager Integration

Toni has been with Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network since 2006, bringing her expertise from roles in workforce, commissioning, and integration programs. Toni values her long-term contribution to MPHN’s growth and is passionate about collaborating with healthcare providers to enhance outcomes. Toni holds a Bachelor of Business Studies and an MBA.

Jason Bennie
Chief Data Officer

Jason has an extensive background in public health research and expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, and health promotion. Jason has a PhD in Behavioural Epidemiology from Deakin University. He has over 15 years of experience in managing large-scale public health projects from conception to execution to evaluation.
