Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is seeking an experienced and engaging people leader to join our team as Primary Care Engagement Lead focused on driving positive change, influencing stakeholders, and strengthening primary care across the region.
You will lead a team responsible for delivering primary care engagement activities across the Murrumbidgee region. The role focuses on building strong relationships with general practice and primary care providers, supporting primary care reforms through effective change management, and shaping innovative approaches to strengthen primary care delivery. It also provides oversight of professional development initiatives and the University of Wollongong medical student placement program, helping to build a sustainable and capable future workforce.

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager Primary Care Engagement, you will lead and develop a team and play a key role in strengthening primary care across the Murrumbidgee region. This is an opportunity to influence positive change through leadership, collaboration, innovation and strong provider partnerships.
Lead, coach and develop the team to achieve positive outcomes for primary care providers and communities across the region.
Foster a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture.
Build and maintain strong relationships with general practice, primary care providers and key stakeholders.
Lead the delivery of primary care engagement, professional development and medical student placement activities across the region.
Support the adoption of primary care reforms, digital health initiatives and innovative models of care.
Use data, stakeholder intelligence and insights to inform planning, identify opportunities and demonstrate impact.
Contribute to strategic projects and initiatives that strengthen primary care capability and sustainability.

You are an experienced and approachable people leader who enjoys developing teams, building strong relationships and achieving outcomes through others.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of general practice, primary healthcare and emerging reform directions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills.
The ability to think strategically while maintaining a practical, solutions-focused approach.
Experience using technology, data and insights to support planning and decision making.
