WARATAH for Kids

WARATAH for Kids is a FREE program providing access to an allied health screening clinic, short-term therapy, and paediatric health linker.

Do you need support with your child’s development?

You may be eligible for free speech pathology and occupational therapy services through the WARATAH for Kids program.

This program supports young children, who have a development delay or concern, access speech pathology, occupational therapy and paediatric health linker services – ensuring vulnerable kids don’t fall through the gap in healthcare.

Through this program we coordinate a free multi-disciplinary clinic with a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Paediatric Health Linker for your child. Other services are sometimes available, as reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The program is all about improving access to allied health services for vulnerable children and families.

Who is eligible for the program?

To be eligible for WARATAH for Kids, your child must be:

  • Aged between 0-7

  • Have at least one developmental delay or behaviour concern, as diagnosed by GP or a screening tool such as an Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), or Learn The Signs Act Early (Blue Book)

  • Have not previously seen a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist for an assessment in the last 12 months

Please note that vulnerable children and families will be prioritised.
