A milestone year for information security

In 2025-2026, MPHN achieved a significant milestone with ISO 27001:2022 certification, the internationally recognised standard for information security management systems. Certification confirms MPHN has effective systems and controls in place to protect information, manage security risks and strengthen organisational resilience.  

Through the certification process MPHN was acknowledged for its particularly high standards. An independent external audit identified no major or minor non-conformities, with the auditor describing MPHN’s Information Security Management System as mature and well embedded. Strong leadership and governance, integrated risk management and high staff awareness of information security responsibilities were also recognised.  

For MPHN, this work is about much more than achieving certification. Robust information security protects sensitive information, supports informed decision-making and helps maintain the trust of healthcare providers, partners and communities. 

The organisation also successfully maintained its ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification through its annual surveillance audit, demonstrating an ongoing focus on quality and continuous improvement.  

That commitment continues beyond certification. MPHN is already acting on opportunities identified through the audit to further strengthen areas including business continuity, supplier and cloud security and performance measures, with ongoing internal audits and management reviews embedded into its approach.  

Together, these achievements provide a strong operational foundation for MPHN to remain agile, resilient and ready to respond to the changing needs of the health system.
