RDN Health: Rural Health Workforce Scholarship Program

The Health Workforce Scholarship Program (HWSP) provides scholarships and bursaries to support health professionals—including allied health—in rural and remote Australia to retain and enhance their skills, capacity, and scope of practice.

RDN opens several application rounds each financial year.

Round 2 opens 1 October 2025 and closes 12 November 2025 for courses commencing on or after 1 October 2025:

  • Course/activity must commence within 4 months of the application

  • Outcomes will be advised after 13 November 2025

  • A maximum of two applications per person will be considered for this round

Rounds 3 and 4 for 2025/26 will open in January and April, respectively.
