Residential aged care homes supported with telehealth equipment across the region

Digital health support

Digital health is most valuable when it makes care easier to deliver and easier to access. During 2025-2026 MPHN worked with providers to turn new technology and national digital health initiatives into practical improvements across primary and aged care.

Support ranged from helping general practices adopt Provider Connect Australia and prepare for Better and Faster Access, to building confidence and capability through hands-on education. In residential aged care, investment in telehealth equipment is bringing specialist consultations directly to residents’ bedsides, reducing the need to travel.

MPHN also continued looking outward, bringing emerging ideas in virtual care, artificial intelligence, interoperability and digital innovation back to the Murrumbidgee.
