GP psychiatry support line

The GP Psychiatry Support Line is a free and effective expert advice exclusive to GPs.

By calling 1800 161 718 between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, GPs are connected directly with psychiatrists who can offer their expert advice regarding the mental health needs of their patients.  

To access this service, GPs will need to register at gpsupport.org.au or by calling 1800 16 17 18. Registration is quick and requires the GP’s AHPRA registration number and primary practice details for instant access to the service.

The GP Psychiatry Support website also offers a series of webinars created with GPs in mind. Each webinar is accredited with the RACGP for 1-hour Educational Activity, and with the ACRRM.
