Anti-vaping campaign returns to support young people in NSW

From 25 November 2024 to 24 May 2025, Cancer Institute NSW will roll out the Every Vape is a Hit to Your Health Anti-Vaping Behaviour Change Campaign. This initiative addresses the rising use of e-cigarettes (vaping) and associated health risks.

Developed using a best-practice campaign model, the campaign targets people aged 14 to 24 across NSW, with a particular focus on First Nations and multicultural young people.

Building on the success of the 2023–24 Anti-Vaping Campaign, which achieved strong recognition and boosted intentions to quit or remain vape-free, the new campaign introduces fresh assets. These resources aim to encourage young people who vape to seek support to quit, including guidance on calling the Quitline and using Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT).

A campaign kit will be available on the Cancer Institute’s website. This kit includes an overview, key messages, and selected campaign assets for stakeholders to share.

Healthcare professionals can access further guidance on smoking and vaping cessation, including information about changes to Australia’s vaping regulations, via the RACGP’s Supporting Smoking & Vaping Cessation: A Guide for Health Professionals.
