General practice must adhere to cold chain processes to ensure the potency of vaccines is maintained. In fact, practices must keep a current written cold chain management policy and procedure to meet the Criterion.

Practices might further support cold-chain management by reviewing the cold chain management policy at 12-month intervals.

Team meetings are also a useful vehicle for discussing the practice cold chain management policy, and subsequently updating as necessary.
