New statewide specialist eating disorder service: baibangbaiyaang

baibangbaiyaang is a statewide specialist eating disorder service, comprising the new Residential Eating Disorders Centre (REDC) and the existing Eating Disorders Day Program (EDDP).

REDC is a 12-bed, purpose-built residential facility in Charlestown, offering intensive treatment for NSW residents aged 16+ with a diagnosed eating disorder. It provides a holistic, codesigned therapy program including clinical, psychological, cultural, and lived-experience perspectives. REDC is not a hospital but an additional treatment option for those who are medically stable and need high-intensity rehabilitation. The program is voluntary and aims to treat up to 60 people annually.
