Considering an Academic Post in 2027?

The Academic Post Program is a 12-month, part-time opportunity for AGPT registrars to develop research and teaching skills while continuing their clinical training.

Applications open 27 April and close 6 July 2026. To be eligible, you must have completed GPT1 and have at least six months' full-time equivalent (FTE) training time remaining at the start of the post.
