National Cancer Screening Register integration with clinical software

The National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR) has partnered with Medical Director, Best Practice and Communicare to give GPs real‑time access to patient cancer screening information directly through their clinical software.

Integration with the NCSR helps GPs to:

  • Access patient screening information and alerts

  • View and submit screening results

  • Support bowel screening test kit completion

  • Update patient contact and demographic details

  • View program‑related correspondence

  • Nominate providers and personal representatives

More than 60% of Australian general practices have now integrated with the NCSR. Practices yet to come on board can refer to the NCSR Primary Care Onboarding Kit, which has been tailored for Medical Director, Best Practice and Communicare users.
