New RSV and influenza vaccination resources now available
NSW Health has released a suite of updated and new resources to support respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza vaccination discussions and delivery across clinical settings. These resources can be displayed in clinical areas and used to support consistent conversations with patients and families.

An amended NSW Immunisation Schedule is currently being developed and will be circulated when available.
NSW Health is also funding FluMist, a nasal spray influenza vaccine, for children aged two, three and four years only. FluMist must not be used for children aged six months to under two years. Practices are asked to ensure FluMist baskets in vaccine fridges are clearly labelled to reinforce the eligible age group.
All other people must receive age‑appropriate injectable influenza vaccines. FluMist remains available on the private market for people aged five to under 18 years. A poster outlining 2026 influenza vaccine eligibility is available at:
