RSV immunisation program for older adults commences
Adults aged 75 years and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 60 years and over, are now eligible to receive a free dose of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine Arexvy under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
To support the expanded eligibility, NCIRS has released a new RSV immunisation recommendations table outlining recommendations for eligible groups to receive RSV vaccines or monoclonal antibody (mAB). The RSV chapter has also been updated to reflect these changes.
