My Health app transitions to 1800MEDICARE app

What’s changing

The My Health app has now transitioned to the 1800MEDICARE app. This updated app continues to provide a secure and convenient way to view key health information in My Health Record, including information uploaded by patients, healthcare providers or representatives.

Key features

The 1800MEDICARE app allows users to:

  • Access electronic prescriptions and their Active Script List

  • View key My Health Record information

  • Find and book health services

What your patients need to do

  • If patients previously downloaded the My Health app, it may have updated automatically

  • If it has not updated, they can manually update via device settings or by searching ‘1800MEDICARE’ in their app store

1800MEDICARE is a government initiative designed to improve access to primary healthcare for all Australians. It provides:

  • A free, nationwide health advice line

  • After-hours GP telehealth support

  • 24/7 access to care and advice

Patients can continue to:

Over time, new features will be added, including:

  • In-app notifications for preventive screening

  • Access to reports on tests and scans
