Referrals open for virtual overcoming binge eating group – term 3

General practitioners and clinicians are invited to refer patients to the Virtual Overcoming Binge Eating (OBE) therapeutic group.

  • Time: Thursdays, 10:30am–12:00pm

  • Format: Online virtual group

  • Cost: Free

  • Referral deadline: 4pm, Friday 10 July 2026

  • Program note: This is not a weight loss program.

Group eligibility

Participants must:

  • Be aged 18 years or older and live in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD)

  • Experience binge eating (minimum one episode per week or four per month), with or without compensatory behaviours such as restriction, purging or excessive exercise).

  • Have access to a tablet, laptop or equivalent device with camera and reliable internet

  • Be medically stable and agree to monitoring by a GP, dietitian or mental health clinician

  • Continue attending medical appointments during the program (minimum one appointment over 10 weeks)

  • Not be currently underweight or actively losing weight

  • Not be receiving CBT-E eating disorder treatment elsewhere

Referrals must be clinician-initiated. Self-referrals are not accepted.
