Immunisation updates
The NSW Immunisation Schedule has been updated, with NSW Health expanding the nasal spray influenza vaccination program to children aged 2 to 17 years (previously limited to 2 to 4 years).
Since influenza vaccine distribution began in March, there has been high demand across all cohorts. To minimise vaccine wastage, providers are asked to review their current influenza vaccine stock and order only what is required.
Careful consideration should be given to orders of Vaxigrip for children aged 6 months to under 5 years.
