General practice must ensure active patient health records are thorough and accurate in the interest of delivering quality care. Health summaries, which record patients’ known allergies help reduce the risk of mismanagement of medicines and adverse side effects. Clinicians should also record any medicines not prescribed by the practice or the use of complementary therapies in patient health records. 

General practice might support the Criterion by keeping records of when GPs ask patients about allergies.
