MPHN thanks the region’s dedicated primary heathcare workforce
Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is today thanking the region’s primary healthcare workers to acknowledge their efforts in supporting their local communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.
MPHN Acting CEO Julie Redway said the thank you messages from MPHN employees is a small token of the appreciation the organisation has for the extraordinary contribution Murrumbidgee region primary healthcare staff have made to keeping their communities safe and well.
“We know our primary healthcare providers have been stretched with the additional demands on COVID-19 vaccinations and testing. Our thank you video is a small way to let the wider healthcare community know that we see them, we appreciate them, and we thank them for working tirelessly to keep us safe,” Ms Redway said.
“Regardless of your role in primary healthcare; be it a GP, reception staff, an allied health provider, aged care worker, pharmacist, practice manager, pathology worker, or a practice nurse. All have gone, and continue to go above and beyond and all deserve our gratitude.”
MPHN COVID-19 Pandemic Lead Dr Alison Koschel said she hears regularly from primary healthcare workers, including aged care workers who are working under unprecedented and challenging conditions.
“Despite the high stress and pressure, primary healthcare staff have continued to deliver high quality care in addition to contributing to the National COVID-19 rollout,” Dr Koschel said.
“These videos will give us the opportunity to recognise the part everyone is playing in getting through the pandemic and I’m looking forward to seeing the videos come to life.”
