Catherine Ryan welcomed to firsthealth Board
On Thursday, 3 November, firsthealth Limited, trading as MPHN, members elected Catherine Ryan to its Board, and farewelled Donna McLean and Kristen Mann as Board Directors.
Catherine Ryan is the Practice Manager of a rural and solo general practice in Finley New South Wales and is the State President of Australian Association of Practice Management.
Board Chair Dr Jodi Culbert said Ms Ryan brings with her a wealth of experience and looks forward to her contribution over the next three years.
“Catherine is an enthusiastic advocate for rural and remote healthcare, with a passion for innovative solutions to current workforce challenges, and I am looking forward to her contributions to the Board and MPHN,” Dr Culbert said.
Dr Culbert also acknowledged the contribution of past Board Directors Donna McLean and Kristen Mann who had a combined 12 years of service.
“Donna has served on the Board for nine years and her industry skills as a practice nurse and specialist knowledge in the area of gerontology will be missed,” she said.
“Kristen served on the Board for three years and her skills and knowledge gained from her rural primary care experience in nursing and practice management have provided valuable insights for the Board over this time.
“I would like to thank Donna and Kristen for their contributions and wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
At the AGM, firsthealth members voted to re-elect Dr Jodi Culbert as Board Director and will continue as Chair.
