RACGP Mentoring Program to open in May 2026

Fellowed general practitioners in the early stages of their career will soon have the opportunity to connect with experienced peers through the RACGP Mentoring Program, with applications for the 2026 intake set to open from 13 April to 31 May 2026.

The RACGP Mentoring Program pairs mentees with seasoned GPs, creating a supportive space to seek guidance, advice and practical support while navigating a career in general practice. The program focuses on wellbeing, collegiality and career development, helping early-career Fellows build confidence and strengthen their professional networks.

For mentees, the program offers a valuable opportunity to learn from the experience of others and explore different aspects of general practice, from clinical problem-solving through to business skills and career direction. For mentors, it provides a chance to share insights, support the next generation of GPs and contribute to a strong, connected profession.

MPHN encourages eligible GPs across the Murrumbidgee region to explore the opportunity and consider applying when the 2026 intake opens. More information about the program, including how to become a mentee or mentor, is available on the RACGP website.
