OTAC: Free Opioid Treatment Training Courses for Health Professionals

Are you a prescriber interested in learning about opioid agonist treatment? Want to become an accredited prescriber of methadone and buprenorphine in NSW? 

The University of Sydney operates free training courses for health professionals in the development of knowledge, skills, and practices to support the safe prescribing of opioid pharmacotherapies for opioid dependence.

The Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC), which allows medical and nurse practitioners to be recognised as accredited prescribers of opioid pharmacotherapies, will be hosted in Wagga Wagga on Saturday 21st September 2019 and presented by Dr Ken Curry, Clinical Director of Drug & Alcohol Murrumbidgee LHD.

To register for the OTAC, visit www.otac.org.au and create an account to complete the introductory Fundamentals Training online component; it takes less than an hour to complete.

All courses are accredited for members of the RACGP and ACRRM to receive CPD, align with the NSW Clinical Guidelines: Treatment of Opioid Dependence 2018.
