Stroke Foundation live workshop: Acute Stroke Action Program

Stroke Foundation live workshop: Acute Stroke Action Program

This RACGP accredited program will assist GPs in proactively identifying patients within their practice who are at increased risk of stroke and systematically implementing guideline-based management approaches to reduce stroke risk. It will also assist GPs in developing strategies to educate their staff and patients on recognising the signs and symptoms of stroke and the need for rapid action. The program will help GPs by identifying the acute stroke resources in their area and the options which might be considered for their patients suffering an acute stroke.

The program consists of three components:

Module 1: Stroke prevention in general practice- Online pre-work – access will be provided upon registering for the program

Module 2: Stroke management in general practice – live meeting, 16 February

Module 3: Stroke prevention protocol in your practice
