Managing strangulation in primary care 2026 update

General Practitioners (GPs) and other primary healthcare providers are the main coordinating point for addressing the health needs of women with experiences of non-fatal strangulation and sexual choking.

In the last 12 months, new Australian research has revealed that strangulation results in worse cognitive outcomes than intimate partner violence alone.

Guest speaker, Dr Wei-May Su, will provide practical advice on implementing training insights into GP practice.
