Workshop Details

• Cost: Free

• Attire: Casual office wear

• Food: Tea/Coffee and light snacks (please bring your own if you have dietary needs/allergies)

The MATES General Awareness Talk (GAT) is a 45 minute training session to inform workers of the prevalence of suicide and mental health in our industry and what we can do about it. The GAT informs construction workers of some behavioural changes that we may see in colleagues and mates, that could indicate when someone may be struggling with their mental health and at risk of suicide, as well as how workers may be able to offer them help.
