Are you a general practitioner or other prescriber interested in learning about opioid pharmacotherapy treatments for opioid dependence?

The University of Sydney (funded by the NSW Ministry of Health) is hosting a free 1-day training course with local drug and alcohol specialists in Murrumbidgee LHD for medical and nurse practitioners to learn more about how to safely prescribe opioid pharmacotherapies (methadone and buprenorphine) for opioid dependence.

The Opioid Treatment Accreditation Course (OTAC) allows medical and nurse practitioners to learn more about this important treatment and gives the opportunity to undertake a clinical place along with being recognised as accredited prescribers of opioid pharmacotherapies for opioid dependence.

The next session will be held in Wagga Wagga (International Hotel) on 5 September 2026 facilitated by Dr Bronwyn Hudson and Dr Hester Wilson.‍ ‍
