Adult Mental Health First Aid – Bland Shire Council

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training will be delivered to adult community members across four sessions at the Bland Shire Council Chambers.

The training will be facilitated by John Dean, Link District Clinical Leader with the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, and will equip participants with practical skills to recognise the signs of mental health concerns, respond confidently and provide appropriate support.

The Bland Shire Youth Centre will coordinate outreach and registrations, inviting adults who work with or support young people, including staff and volunteers from schools, sporting clubs and local businesses.

By strengthening mental health literacy and confidence among trusted adults in the community, the training aims to improve early recognition, increase supportive conversations and create safer environments for young people across the Bland Shire.
