Community Resiliency Model (CRM®) workshop – Edwina Scerri
The Community Resiliency Model (CRM®) workshop will deliver a practical, skills-based approach to emotional balance and wellbeing, supporting individuals to better manage stress and remain grounded during challenging times.
Developed by the Trauma Resource Institute, CRM® is an evidence-informed wellness model that teaches simple, accessible techniques to help people understand and regulate their nervous system. The focus is on building everyday resilience rather than clinical treatment, making the approach suitable for both individuals and communities.
Participants will learn how stress, change and adversity can activate the body’s survival responses, often resulting in anxiety, tension or disconnection. Through the workshop, attendees will develop skills to recognise their own nervous system patterns, practise six easy self-regulation techniques, and strengthen their capacity for calm, balance and connection.
CRM® is suitable for a broad audience, including community members, frontline workers and individuals experiencing stress, burnout, trauma or compassion fatigue. The approach supports both personal wellbeing and stronger, more compassionate community connections.
The workshop will be delivered by Edwina Scerri, a Senior Psychologist, AHPRA Board Approved Supervisor, and highly experienced clinician and trainer with more than 25 years’ experience working in complex trauma. Edwina has worked across domestic and sexual violence, women’s health, chronic disease, mental health and disability, and holds a Master’s degree in Social Health.
