Men's Mental Health Speaker – Murrumbidgee Men's Group

The Murrumbidgee Men’s Group (MMG) will host a high-profile guest speaker event in Wagga Wagga in 2026, aimed at creating meaningful conversation and connection around men’s mental health.

The event will feature a well-known speaker with lived experience, with potential guests including Wayne Schwass, Tom Boyd or Kurt Fearnley. By hearing directly from respected role models who speak openly about their experiences, the event will support honest discussion and challenge stigma.

The event aims to break down barriers to help-seeking, provide hope and inspiration for local men, and reinforce that support is available. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with local services through on-site resource tables featuring organisations such as Wellways, MPHN, Likemind, headspace, the Medicare Mental Health Centre and other local support providers.

By combining lived experience storytelling with practical pathways to support, the event will help strengthen mental health awareness and connection within the local community.
